I went skating tonight, even though it was like -15 out. I wore about twenty eight layers, and it was actually quite fun. I laced my skates well enough that my feet survived, and every time they got too painful, I took a break that actually helped a great deal. Yesterday was an epic journey to Buffalo for the Metropolitan Opera National Competition Regional Auditions. It's this competition that is put on by the Met (best opera company in the world), and to win the first round is already $1000, and eventually the final round you get to go to the Met, and compete there.
