I had a thing once where most of the words on any webpage were links and they all led to one site. I typed the site name into google and found a help forum with advice on how to get rid of it... might be worth trying that.

1) If you use IE, go to Internet Options and clear your cookies, your history, and your temporary files.

2) Add/Remove Programs - Get rid of everything that looks suspicious/that you know you didn't put on there.

3) Ctr+Alt+Del - Turn off everything that you don't need running.

4) Ad-Aware - Make sure you have the latest update, do a scan, and get rid of everything it finds.

5) Spyware Search & Destroy - If you have this, run this as well, and get rid of everything it finds.

6) Restart.

I have a website you can go to that will search your computer for viruses if all of the steps above didn't get rid of your problem.

It might be helpful to get a pop-up blocker, like Google toolbar, or something similar... there's a pop-up blocker that the rest of my family uses by Panic Ware or something, but I don't like it. *shrugs*

It also helps to cut down from going to sites that have lots of adverts and pop-ups on them. Namely fanfiction.net and fictionpress.com, if you're a fanfiction/story freak like me. >.> I had to stop going to ff.net because it kept putting shit on my computer that I didn't want.

Thankyou! I'd already deleted my temp files and run ad-aware but nothing happened, so I'll try that.
