Hooray indeed!
Why are Washington, Oregon and California falling behind? Aren't they known for being "liberal"?
Jeez, this sort of thing shouldn't have to be considered liberal. It should be normal.
Ok, world. Baby steps. At least you finally took another one.

California more than Oregon or Washington, I think. And for Oregon, the big reason that it gets a liberal image is Portland and Eugene. Most of the rest of the state is red (in the conservative sense, not the communist sense). I don't mind that. I just wish that the fears of some didn't have to determine the rights of others.

And yes, baby steps. At least some are being made, though I'm still pissed about Prop 8 and the similar ruling here in Oregon.

Actually, I guess that's true for washington too. The eastern side is pretty conservative.

Exactly. :P I'm still really annoyed about Oregon's Prop 8-style legislation.

It warms my heart to hear it is at least going foreward in some places. :)

Here in my owm country we're fighting to change our marriage law, so that same-sex couples can have _all_ the same rights and obligations as fem-ma, and also so the church have the right to chose whether to marry same-sex couples or not. (Currently the law forbid the church to do so). I really hope it will go through and we will have full equal rights regarding your sexual orientation.
