OH my goodness! Yay! I'm glad you read my journal! ^^

I like a lot of 80s music due to my older sister. Though, the version of Enjoy the Silence I was listening to came from a 2004 album of Depeche Mode remixes. My favorite music is Dance, Trance, House, Drop-Beat..actually, there's a 90% chance I'll like any song if it has any sort of electronic influences really. That and minor cords. ^_^ Honestly, I like most all types of music. It just depends on my mood.

Don't worry about it! ^_^ Real has to take priority sometimes. lol!

Ahhhh. I like it because I'm just that old. *g* I have that CD, too. My favorite is their version of Route 66. I actually like some Dance and Trance as well, but I don't know what House and Drop-Beat is. :/ Guess I really AM old.

Haha! That's one my favorite too, though Enjoy The Silence is probably the one I like the best. That and In Your Room, but I just like the rhythm of that one. Good song to move to. ^_^ I actually have a fanfiction that was inspired by this version of Enjoy the Silence.

Oops! Its actually called Break Beat, not drop beat (Break Beats drop the beat, which is why I got it mixed up XD). Oh, I'm sure you know them, you just don't know you do. ^_^ Break Beat beats are used in hip-hop and rap beats and House is the classical "Boon-cha-Boon-cha" type of Remix.

Break Beat is kind of an offshoot of Funk/Jazz, only more electronic-y. It uses cuts of different uneven beats which stop or drop out of rhythm and repeat. The song I Feel You on the CD we've been talking about is a very good example of the Break Beat genre. My favorite break beat music is a genre called Nu Skool, though I also like Jungle/DrumNbass.
