The Grid feels as real as anywhere. Your body is solid, and you still draw as much (or as little) breath as before, but a faint touch of ozone hangs in the air, and everywhere around you, if you concentrate, you can feel the flow of energy through circuits.
There is no night. Nights end, and the darkness on the Grid is eternal. Light comes only from circuit glow and the field of brilliant stars--the teleporter network represented as high and distant points of light, unblinking against the cloudless sky.
You, too, have been made part of this world, clothing converted to somber black, limned by circuitry that shines with the same electric light as everything else.
Welcome to the Grid.

(Mostly)-open Grid 3.0 log!
This is where you can come onto the Grid. I'll tag everyone with Flynn (unless you don't want me to--just say so) but feel free to run into each other, too. Prose or action format is fine, but I'm faster with action. Please tag yourself.
A few things to keep in mind:
1. Characters who Flynn can tell are griefers and have the potential to screw things up are locked out. This includes but is not necessarily limited to Abraxas, SHODAN, and AM. If in doubt, ask.
2. If you're not sure whether your character qualifies as a User or a program, use your judgment. Tron science is magic, more or less, so it's pretty much a metaphysical call.
3. Getting an identity disc is an IC choice; Flynn won't try to twist anyone's arm on it, since it means, uh, basically giving him access to your brain.
4. Flynn hasn't programmed variant circuit colors yet, so you're either program blue or User white (or, for Tron characters, your pre-existing color.) Please complain at length about this to Flynn.
5. No guns. If your character's carrying any, they'll come along, but congratulations, you now have some very high-quality props. (They'll start working again when your character leaves.)
6. Just this once, everybody lives. :|
