Awww, I don't mind a bit of angst, and it's a very angsty song! Poor Bruce--this is a nice, sad, introspective piece, and the last line is wonderfully wistful. Thank you for this!

It was a bit of an angsty song :) I was hopping I could pull the angst together into a happy ending, though. Alas, it wasn't to be. I'm glad you liked it anyways.

I know! Even the Bruce in my head can't express his feelings appropriately. I meant for this to be a moment where Bruce lets Clark know how he really feels, but instead it turned into this depressing thing.

I really loved this. So the saying goes you don't know what you have until it's gone. Sad but true on so many levels. Maybe he can still turn things around... ?!

Perhaps. Clark is certainly more forgiving than Bruce (or at least the Clark in my head is).

If this idea sticks in my head the way it is now, then I may write a followup drabble at some point. :)
