It is November 2, 2005. Halloween just ended. Thanksgiving is still nearly a month away. The autumn leaves are still on the trees. And 100.3 WNIC is playing Christmas music. What...the fuck
( Read more... )
Yeah, it starts earlier every year. I remember that at Bath & Body Works (where I used to work), all the Christmas stuff came out the day after Halloween, along with the music (still way too early). But this year, they already had the Christmas stuff out at Bath & Body Works (and Express) this past weekend, before Halloween. This just proves that capitalism is evil. As for WNIC, I've always liked that they played all Christmas music, but they should wait until Thanksgiving; I'm writing a nasty letter!
Hasn't every homo worked at Bath & Body Works? Haha!! I must add that I loved it. I'll also add the fact that I played the flute throughout my years in band (not to mention some piccolo my senior year). I guess I've always been a gender bender. And Matt, I too, love you :)
That's just sick. Christmas before Halloween? Will the conservatives please stop shrieking about how the liberals want to ruin Christmas by making it secular? We're ruining it by making it commercial.
Let's ALL protest against 100.3!!!lonemirage02November 2 2005, 20:28:33 UTC
I completely agree that Christmas songs should NOT be played until December, or Thanksgiving at the EARLIEST. It's fucking annoying if you ask me, they're going to overplay the songs to the point where everyone will stop listening to Christmas songs before Christmas even arrives. So sad

I wrote WNIC several nasty emails last year. Apparently they didn't care. At least last year it started out with a couple of weekends of holiday music before starting it around the clock. Fuckers.
