yeah, I worked briefly (and indirectly) with the Alabama Blues Project, they're good people. Debbie Bond is the lady you might hear in the background of some of Willie King's songs. I worked at the campus radio station and got a ticket to one of their benefits- interviewed Willie Briefly and rather awkwardly, nothing much came of that, but I kept in touch with them and promoted their events. Did an interview with their grant writer (Debbie's husband and fellow musician with Willie) that went on the air a couple times.
His monologues are the best, really, worth buying any of his albums I'd say, not to mention the music!
