Nothing profound or incredibly moving, but I have come to LOVE the author Laurie Notaro. She is hilarious! One of her books is fiction, the rest are tales from her own life and funny experiences. I have read three of her five books so far and I laughed my ass off at each one. Just entertaining stuff

Oh, oh, and The Five People You Meet in Heaven, by Mitch Albom was excellent, I remember I read it a few years ago on Thanksgiving. I was working as a secretary and had to work the holiday, it was a reallllly slow day and I read it in one eight hour shift.
Also, the James Frey books (A Million Little Pieces and My Friend Leonard). I know there was a lot of stupid press surrounding him and whether his story was true or not, but who cares. I really enjoyed reading them both.
i've been reading a lot of chick lit lately - so my recs prolly aren't that good. Books i've loved? Kennedy Women, Prep: a novel, Bookends by Jane Green, shit there was one that i just read that was cute but i forget the title. I'll tell you later.
weather wise it's like 60 or so. We could def. hang around the city. I think i'm off work at 12 or 1ish. So sometime mayhaps around 2-230ish we can kick around :) we'll figure it out :)
Can we make it more like 3:30? I have a hair appointment in the morning, and I don't want to totally ditch mom, so I'm going to take her out to lunch. And then maybe after that?

Are we just doing evening, or do you want to maybe catch the Metro and maybe hang in the city a bit while I'm there during the day on Saturday?
Also, how is it weather-wise there?
