Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Average height, thin, and well proportioned.
2. How old is she? A little over 5, looks and acts (mostly) like she's in her mid-twenties.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? Carries herself well, despite a lot of recent events, it's in her nature to be fairly self confident.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? She's an android and has no issues at all. Everything is perfect.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Graceful when she's not drunk. She was built to be a good dancer, after all.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? Pretty attractive! I think there was a focus group or/and a group of designers that built her to ensure she's attractive to males of a certain age.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Perfect and fair.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. Brown, soft, has it in a bob with bangs.
9. What color are her eyes? Reddish-brown.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Big boobs! Er, I mean, she's currently wearing Kaito's scarf, which is weird for a Meiko.
11. What are her chief tension centers? Shoulders and back of neck.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? Lots of red, some blacks, usually mature and sexy. Often found in her Vocaloid!outfit.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them? Yes, nothing but the best and why buy something uncomfortable?
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences? Usually the same, though she was used to getting a lot of costume changes during photo-shoots, PV recordings, and concerts. When going out on the town, she would try to dress a bit different. Here in the VDR she's usually in the default outfit, for various reasons.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Uh, panties? Black lacy ones. Sometimes though, maybe she's not wearing them. ^_^;;
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Mature woman's voice, not too deep and not too chirpy.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? Loudly, evenly (unless she's pissed off, excited, drunk, or a combo of those), and easily.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Maybe a slight Hokkaido accent, otherwise, none.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? Japanese. She's been meaning to work on her English, and hoped it'd be patched once, back before stuff started going so wrong.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Nope.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words? Pretty good impromptu speaker, though I wouldn't hire her to give a speech or anything.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Solidly in the middle. Can get a little inarticulate if she's upset/shocked, as she did when she got the DR and found out about KaITO.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? Pretty intelligent, though no genius. Computer!brain and all. She's got a lot of data in her knowledge banks, but mostly I'd say she's street-smart.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? Thinks on her feet, often in an impulsive way.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Intuitive and practical.
4. What kind of education has the character had? None, though again, she's got a decent amount of knowledge in her data-banks.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about? All Vocaloid-related stuff like singing, dancing, and acting. She's good at the 'big sister' thing too. She's not the 'I want to learn more' sort of person, but in light of the 'incident', she's a little interested in learning more about A.I. and programming, if only so she can have an informed opinion, make sure it doesn't happen again, and understand exactly how and why what happened happened.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? So very extroverted!
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? A bit of a temper! Usually cheerful, but will get melancholy if her family is brought up. Usually laid-back, but becomes driven if needed.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Pretty relaxed, and that's about it.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? Act.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Fight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? A good sense of humor, finds all of the above amusing... though bathroom humor is a bit below her. Sex jokes are okay, though!
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them? Nothing really. She's reasonably sane... for a Vocaloid.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person? Being activated, getting her first family member (Kaito) and then her other younger siblings later. The failed patches. Kaito being taken away. Coming to the VDR and finding out what happened.
14. What does she fear? That the others are in danger, that Kaito is utterly broken and changed-- not her brother anymore.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations? Getting her family safe, sane, and reunited.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her? Well, she's sort of hoping she can go around the DR without everyone being like 'OH HEY, IT'S THE MEIKO WITH THAT INSANE MURDEROUS FUCKED-UP BROTHER'.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents. No parents, if you count Crypton, she loathes them from the bottom of her heart and feels very betrayed.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? Yes! Kaito, Luka, Miku, Len, and Rin. She plays an older sister role, though admittedly Kaito (and sometimes Luka) were on much more of an even level with her.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand? No on both fronts. It's just her and the other Vocaloids, and honestly, blood isn't really part of the picture. They are androids.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? None thus far. They are a pretty tight-knit group.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Honestly, her brother Kaito. He was introduced to her shortly after his activation-- at first she didn't really know what to make of him, but they later became very close.
6. Does she have other close friends? Just her family. She never really got the opportunity to go out and make friends, Crypton wanted her to work. Now that she's in the DR, maybe she'll make some.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people? Pretty easily, as long as she doesn't turn them off with her casual teasing nature.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends? Family.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once? Single.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Nope.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest? She cycles through finding soap opera stars, movie stars, and other singers attractive. It doesn't mean anything, just eye-candy.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner? She hasn't thought about it! Probably attractive, dependable, fun, into music, and he or she must love her family.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any? Plays a big sister role to other Vocaloids. Only Miku, Rin, and Len really count as 'children' in her brain, though.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies? CRYPTON. And people who talk crap about KaITO/Kaito.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale? Bi, leaning towards males a liiiittle at the moment. She's never really dated.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her? Looks fun! She hasn't die from lack of it, though.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? She's going to need some experience on this front. Right now, her brain is pretty centered on the crisis at hand.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type? Scorpio and pretty well!
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life? Nope, and not very important.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Some might say she's got loose ones, since swearing, drinking, and not caring much about rules or what others think isn't considered ethical or moral by many... but Meiko does have a very strong sense of wanting to help and protect others, especially her family. She'd never compromise this.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? Mostly indifferent.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them? She's started to get some biases against humans, or at least ones that don't treat her and the others like people. There are very very good reasons for this.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Was well taken care of before. Currently living off her card and in much less comfortable circumstances, though she's fine and doesn't really give a shit.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her? Mixed. She was a famous singer, but knew she was the least popular/skilled Vocaloid. She was dehumanized by her creators. Now she's in a new world where she doesn't really have a role or job beyond waiting for her brother to get operational and sane again.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others? A hotel room, currently alone.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on? Booze, mostly. Used to like shopping and going out on the town, but she's not in the mood right now and is a bit worried about her money.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else? She was a singer and enjoyed it. Still enjoys singing, but is not really working at the moment.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time? Drinking, watching soaps, reading jousei manga and books, singing, performing, spending time with her family, watching live performances, listening to music, shopping, karaoke, etc.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? DRINKS ALCOHOL. Currently eats out a lot, since she doesn't have a kitchen.
