For those of you not actually on this side of the pond. I'll share the link so you can watch the festivities if you like. The crew of Rex parades at 1000am local (1600 GMT). Rex is the grand auld crewe of New Orleans and the King and Queen of Mardi Gras are presented to the mayor of the city.

Cool! I always wanted to do Mardi Gras though I heard it is a real pain to anyone actually IN New Orleans

It's a huge pain. After seventeen years of MG, I am soooooooooo... over it.
