In the spring of 1992 I bought a Jeep. The cover was that because I was now a unit director I fell under the "You come in prepared to stay any time there's a hurricane in the gulf within 300 miles or any kind of inclement weather" clause. It wasn't written down anywhere it's just assumed that you're going to set the good example for everyone else

The Jeep was special. It got you everywhere for a long time, ran when it shouldn't have, and made it possible for us to have a relationship. I will always have fond memories of it...

I dont have memories of the Jeep but I do have many memories of the explorer that I share with you and others but mostly you. If the explorer ever goes away, if you can, give me a heads up. I should like to say a word or two.

I miss you all terribly and I love you all very much. SPLF cometh and with it a visit "home".

I still have mine in the car park - cannot bear to let it go - it gets assimilated into the hedge and I have to clear it of vegetation continually!
