i just had the weirdest experience on the plane flying from providence to detroit (where i now sit in an internet cafe that just saved my trip! long, boring story...). but anyways, the subject of mortality and death has been on my mind since last night, and i think that reading "American Gods" (a phenomenal book, btw) is not helping to put that
