Hehe. I heard an interview with him on the radio a couple of weeks ago - he's a scarily clever chap and has a lot of side projects as well as acting. It's not my style of music, but his knowing and sarcastic rap songs are quite excellent!
We're hoping to see the film next week, so it's good to hear a positive review.
Yes, sticky floors, people telling you the story as you watch it, phones spotting the theater, crinkling bags, straw sucking, ice rattling and cows a munching all drove us to build our own theater. So we wait a month for a movie but get to enjoy it in perfect quiet darkness.
I had the opposite viewing experience. Saw on the 17th in Waynesville, NC. At a theater. Like an actual small town theater. It held about 100 people maybe. No balcony. Actual chairs. We saw the early showing at 11:25 AM and there were maybe 10 other people in there with us. The sound and visuals were great though and it was kinda nice to be able to take it in that way.
I pretty much agree with everything you said about that movie. I absolutely loved it and thought it was really well-done. I'm not a huge Star Wars geek either, but I've appreciated the franchise and grew up alongside a brother who was downright obsessed with Star Wars so I never really had a choice in the matter. We saw it opening weekend, and we all gasped when they showed Leia as well. I can only imagine the reaction/goosebumps to see it after she'd passed away. The best scene ever was definitely Darth's temper tantrum. So cool.
