Fwiw many people who are homeless avoid taking unsealed food from others, because there are bad people out there who think it's funny to poison food & then give it out. :(
He could be granola/larabar man! I keep granola bars in the car, but I rarely come across homeless people, usually the same professional beggars on the street corners. There is a guy I used to see hanging out by WalMart, but he would be in an awkward spot, so I'd throw them out the window to him, haha. I'd check and he was always picking them up, I smiled and waved them first so he didn't think I was being an asshole. :x
I like this. Most of the homeless in the Seattle area hang out on crowded street corners, so if I keep a decent supply in my truck, that could be nice.
I've given a lot of take home bags/leftovers to homeless people over the years and I have to say, each person I've given one to always seemed incredibly happy to receive it. I think being the sandwich man would be an amazing thing.
