York Minster is quite a building. Seems they had to dig up the foundations in the 70s to reinforce the sagging main support piles with concrete, and in so doing dug up the old Norman and Roman sites

I don't normally get too wound up about Xbox live themes and avatar items (Mass Effect excepted), but the Tron stuff looks kind of fun, especially the theme.
And I... want a little Recognizer pretty damn bad. It's SO CUTE.

There's something magical about the fact that we can have a 100+ comment thread on whether or not you like character A, and despite wildly different opinions, there's no bashing, fighting or inanity.
It's not exactly fashionable to like Wolverine anymore, but I have a soft spot for the pointy old lump, not the least of which because he's one of the only Canadian superheroes who doesn't have to wear a mountie hat, have bitten by a beaver, or have the maple leaf stapled to his nipples.

Predator, then Aliens, then Predator 2. A whole afternoon of non-stop muscles, milSF chest-pounding banter, guns, gritty tech and the two most gloriously badass alien nasties in cinema.
