More on my new Laptop.

I want to use the laptop where I don't have a land line hook up or wi-fi. That means I need to get a wireless modem. Who has the best rates? Are the public ones that easy to use? (Burger King and Starbucks both have all their stores hot spots) Does anyone who lives near me have a list of hot spots in the area between Horsham PA and Spring Mount PA ( Read more... )

I can't speak for hotspots out where you are, but the ones around here are pretty easy to use. Just go in and sit down, start up the laptop, connect to the wireless network, and away you go. :) There's usually no password, which means that you don't want to be logging in to anything even remotely "sensitive" (because anyone can be monitoring the internet traffic potentially), so if your bookkeeping is through an online site you might not want to do that at a public hotspot (and maybe even for the Book of Shadows stuff too if that's on an online blog or something similar). But if the only online thing you'd be doing are the games then you should be fine.

Heh, BTW, what games are these? :)

Travian

The server just started a couple of days ago. The game runs for about 13 months. The first time I did not last long but I joined late and I was a noob. Now I end up one of the powerhouse's. You start with one city and several days of beginner protection. But once you are out of the beginner protection mode your are subject to people raiding you.

From when I leave the door until I get home it is 12 hours. I could be hit over and over during that time. I could get up to two sitters but they would be strangers.

Hint-hint join Travian us6 and chose the north-east to start your city. By now we will not be anywhere near each other but we can still sit each others cities.
