I have not been walking lately since I hurt my back at Pennsic. However today I got another message from my sister. I left work at noon and walked down the hill to the Perk Trail. The messages and emails from you and all the others is the only thing holding me together. This is also the first time I snapped back at them. I needed their love and acceptance so much I never could risk speaking up. I guess I finally came to understand that at our age if they were going to change they would have by now. Who dragged me to her school and showed me how to do a term paper when I called her in panic "WHAT'S A TERM PAPER"?
Who kept telling me I could do it? My brother told me I was wasting my time on such foolishness. "At your age going back to school".
He didn't show up to see me get my diploma. Before college I was making between two jobs $17,000 a year. Now a lot more than double that. Each and every recession I was out of work. I have been running in to friends that I used to work with and they are all out of work. That is what would have been me if you did not help me. Or if I listened to my brother.
