Today I had the next to last appointment I need before my future will be at the UW. So far everyone has signed off.
Now my future is in the hands of one person. There are actually two people I could deal with to have this signing off happen by, but so far I have been pushed along certain lines being told who of the multiple people to deal with to get this through, so when I was told to deal with Diane, I deal with Diane. Unfortunately she is gone for winter break, so I sit here worrying about when the phone call will come, what will be said at the meeting.
When I met with June from EOP she pointed out I have only one class to take before I do not go to her for advising. If there had been more she would be the one signing off, and I would be towards the bottom of the list, but with the fact that I am really not a pre-major anymore and I am having someone from the department sign off and I go much higher up on the list, in fact I basically get in as long as there are spots for re-enrolling students.
I will be told what classes I get to take until I graduate, If there are multiple sections I get a choice in which one I take, and if something comes along that I really want I can ask for it, but what I will take and when will be decided when I sit down with Diane. Of course there is the fact that certain classes are mandatory (well two are [Bio A 201 and Archy 205] and there is one with an option from four [hopefully getting Soc 220], and one that I could have lots of options, but am going to go with the "easy" one [ASL 103]).
55 credits and I will be done. This means one full year, plus a quarter and done, so even if I get put off until Summer quarter I will be a 2010 graduate of the University of Washington. This time around there are many things that are going to be different, and not just because I will actually be able to go to the football games and have some clue as to what is going on (still want to sit down with someone to watch a full game with explanations, but for now I have a pretty good idea).
That is the life of me, well, the school side, which is to say the only life I have outside of computer world.
