You can actually, upto 4 Oz of saline/eyedrops/contact lens solutions. I just incountered an overzelous screener that doesn't know how to read. When I came though the Kodiak airport this evening on the way home, they had a list of what really was allowed and contact lens solution was on the list, so long as it was less than 4 oz.
