I don't know DC well enough to know where the accident happened but since I know a few of you live in the general vicinity of our nation's capital, it would be good to hear that you're okay!

all me and mine are fine.

(I do occasionally ride the DC metro, and that line in particular, for tourism/visiting friends/barhopping. not often, but enough to be a bit more shaken by the news.)
