My life would be a happier place if I didn't read seattle and just let Graham tell me the best (stupid) bits.

Seriously, was a community EVER more dedicated to getting itself on stupid_free for no apparent reason?

One of these days I fully expect to find myself snarked (I'm a fat bus rider) on that community and then my LJ circle will be complete.

Wow. Yes. I read 3-4 posts and could see right away that I will never be cool or clever enough to live in Seattle.

Or maybe I'm just aging out of LJ. One can't maintain that kind of angsty cynicism and contempt for society at my age. It's too much effort.

It was also illuminating, in that some of the people who are being complete asshats there are folks I recognise from their comments in the LJs of other friends of mine who live in Seattle. Kind of disappointed now in my friends that they would associate with people who appear to be such jerks.

Someone's got a bug up their ass. A fairly large one from the looks of it.

Even in washingtondc I don't think I've ever seen a completely benign post like that devolve into wank.

Was there a particular post? I just browsed the last few days' worth and didn't see anything particularly awful (I mean, everybody was completely nice about the kittens needing homes, ffs.) Maybe I'm just desensitized by bloomington, which is dominated by its own dedicated trolls.

ETA: Ah, nevermind, found it. Yeah, wankish, but don't feed the trolls. Let them consume each other.
