Identity, like reality, should be a rich tapestry, with many threads of many types colors, spun to weave the pattern of the self. When you fixate, when all you are or see yourself as is Red, or this bit of fluff, or that piece of silk, then you lose sight of developing your whole being.

That, and a one trick pony is pretty boring to hang out with. :)
