OMG I LOVE THIS SOOOO MUCH!!!! And I shouldn't be reading at work, especially since I'm supposed to be answering phones and that's hard to do when you're laughing (which I did. a lot.).
Honestly, I don't know what scares me more about Tragedy for Tots - the production itself, or that you nailed it so perfectly. Because Darren Nichols brain is a SCARY place to be, and you were definitely there.
So much to quote but I think I'll stick with this paragraph, because it made me smile:
There were no possible answers to that in all the possible answers that lived in Geoffrey Tennant's brain. So he moved in quickly, leaned down, and did what he always did when Darren annoyed him to the point of speechlessness but short of violence: he kissed him, slow and easy. Darren tasted like lemonade and peppermint, which was absurd enough to be absolutely perfect.
Absurd enough to be perfect is pretty much this fic in a nutshell for me.

There are no words, Sionn. I started picking lines to quote, and then threw up my hands in despair, because this is the most fucking brilliant thing I've read in ... I don't know, possibly ever, and how can I pick just a few lines? Although this one was rather pee-in-my-pants-worthy:
"... I love the theatre, Darren. Your relationship is more like Munchhausen by Proxy."
And listen, the thing where Geoffrey accidentally understands what Darren was trying to accomplish? *more flailing*
Then again, the sight of two men kissing couldn't cause more trauma than Agamemnon attempting to ride down the children's slide, sans helmet but still be-sheeted.
Word.
And in conclusion, Sionn ...
*collapses in glee*

Thank you so much! I am really glad it worked for you! I love this show so much and was so DAUNTED and the prospect of trying to write something funny.
Also I think my classics professors would be hanging their head in despair, but you know, I have to use that degree for something. :D?

Darren's Lysistrata would be a thing of pure awesomeness :DD I admit, this is the best thing I've used my classics degree for in a long time (certainly better than boring people by complaining about Troy, hee).
So glad you liked it! ::relieved::
