So we went to Belle Chase, and we had a damn good time.

This is all the stuff that we donated to the fire department down in Belle Chase:
The ice chests full of drinks and the rest of the water and soda's we couldnt fit in the chests:

Some of the food and gear we donated:

Close up of the sets of bunker gear we donated:

All the MSA and SCBA holders we donated:

We started cooking the jambalaya and white beans at 4 in the morning. I didn't start taking pictures of us cooking until like, 7:

One of the trailer full of stuff we took down there:

On the way over there I had to take a picture of the Superdome:

Us serving:

Grateful National Guardsmen:

Chinooks were flying overhead the whole day:

This is the biggest damn boat I've ever seen, it was transporting National Gaurd hospital trucks:

The biggest TeaBags i've ever seen:

Big plane:

Members of my Lafourche Crossing 308 Fire Company that made the trip down there:

LC-308 Members and Fire District 1 members together. The truck we're in front of is the one we "sold":

We sold the truck to Plaquemines Parish for 1 dollar. It was easier to sell it to them rather than just give it to them because you have to go through so much paper trail, so we just sold it to them for a dollar:

Signing the papers over :( :

I stole an M16:

One thing that I've always wanted throughout this whole hurricane business as of late was MREs. But I could never seem to find any. So I asked the Sheriff if he had any and he said he had over 400 and that I was welcomed to take whatever I wanted. So, me and the guy i drove down there with loaded up his truck with 40 cases of MREs. Every box has 12 MRE dinners in it, and when we got back to the station we split it up amongst the people that road with me and Jason. So we all left with 10 boxes of MREs. That's like, 120 meals.
