I just don't get it. How can someone be considered a Christian when they don't follow the basic tenants of Jesus' teachings, the whole "love thy neighbor" and all that.

im sure not many do consider them christian, as for considering themselves christian, this is what happens when you never question your own beliefs

what...the hell...

While I'm certainly not emotional over it, a death is a death and a death is saddening. And the Westboro Baptist Church is full of nuts.

I'm considering going to Sturgis to see them protest though...i have nothing to do Saturday and Bob Wolfe and I thought about going to pick something up anyway...what can I do to fuck with them? 'Cause, I'm seriously wanting to. ust make it legal, you know?

MWAHAHAHAhahahahahahaha

...Protest the protest?

"God hates Westboro Church"

"Judge ye not, lest ye be judged"

"Let the first who has not sinned cast the first stone"

You know, the various sayings in the Bible that Westboro Church gleefully ignore.

... I'd say water balloons, but that'd probably get you arrested.

from the wiki on WBC

"On 23 May 2006 the state of Michigan banned any intentional disruption of funerals within 500 feet of the ceremony. Violating the statute would be a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine for the first offense and up to four years in prison and a $10,000 fine for a subsequent offense.[54]"

P.s. thanks for the ideas...time to get some posterboard and sharpies.

I gotta wonder though, they really think they're right, does that mean they're ok with being judged themselves, as they feel they have no spots on their "eternal record"?

*disclaimer: I think they're batshit, just playing devils advocate on that thought*

"So, you thought Jesus was stupid? No? You only think SOME of the things he said were stupid? No? Oh, I guess you just think you're SMARTER than Jesus, is that it? More holy? What is it?"

I'd slash their tires, just so these people could bury their loved one in peace. Protesting a funeral should get you flogged.

Oooh, that whacky Westboro Church. Up to their old shenanigans again.

I do hope they die mysterious, painful, and fiery deaths.
