How long did McCarthyism last?

According to the Left, it hasn't ended, and according to those on the Left, it has become worse. Of course, the same can be said about PC - never ending and only getting worse.

PCism is a malignant outgrowth of what we adults used to call 'tact' - being sensitive to the feelings of others with the sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations or avoid offending someone. PCism is malignant because it has taken things to the extreme, and is used by the Left as a cudgel to force people to think and behave a certain way.

Oh, and I second the opinion of allaboutweather!

(Speaking of being sensitive ... I extend an olive branch my friend. I hope you will accept it.)

I'm not even sure why one might be necessary --- I have lost several days due to getting ready to move house, and a series of unfortunate necessities forced on me by a Mr Zuckerberg and the browser creators of the western world, a.k.a. "The Insane Browser Clowns". So I've not been around to read things, and may never catch up.

Ah, I forgot ... well, if you ever do get caught up, you'll see the why of the offer. No need to bring it up here.

Mr. Zuckerberg is a prime reason why I do not do FB any longer.

Hope all goes well with the move, and if the move is done, the hope is that all went well (I try to cover all my bases). ;)

We'll be spending at least two months moving, possibly three, thanks to overlapping contracts. Combine two busy lives, a wife with rheumatoid arthritis and my own decay due to sitting on my behind programming for four years, and we'll need every minute. We're taking car loads and (mother in law's) SUV loads at a time to whittle down the final stages. The number of things which can't be fitted into either is maybe two, so if we keep at it, there may be no more left than a friend with a pick up truck can handle :)
