Unless we can work something out, I think we're getting rid of the Suzuki (stationwagon). Like... jumping almost four times as much is reaaaaaaaaally uncool.
It *IS* possible to say you sold one car, and insure it with another company and say you only have the one vehicle. I mean it's probably illegal but in a just world so is quadrupling your insurance when you're probably going to be driving, what? 15% more because of the other car.
BULL SHIT.
P.S. I'm really glad that NS re-elected the conservatives because they were totally a huge help against high insurance costs.
That's one of the things we're looking into. Unfortunately, the only thing we're worried about is if you START on another policy, and decide you don't want to drive for a couple years, then when you go to start up your insurance again, you're classified as a "new driver".
To clarify, we were talking about taking the Suzuki off my parents' policy entirely, and starting my own policy at another company with only that car under my name.
Well, if your parents have been in accidents, yeah, that'd jack it up.
HOWEVER, if you have house insurance/etc., that usually is all piled together (or at least that's how ours was done, mom was trying to figure out how much we were paying for car inusrance from the total number).
Plus, that insurance is also probably for both your dad and your mom. Assuming.
