Swords or Pistols?

I don't know what's killing LJ for me. Was it getting bought out by another country/culture or is it that Twitter has changed the paradigm so much that LJ posts are either shorter or outright displaced by Tweets ( Read more... )

I don't tweet. I'm on Facebook, and it's good for the quick post -- like my taco truck has been missing for 3 weeks now (NOT Kidding!!!). I go through phases where I post more than other times, but I don't think I ever posted all that much.

Like you, I see lots of Twitter summaries lately more than any kind of post -- substantial or not. If I could figure out how to save drafts while typing on my Blackberry, I might have more to say here. Or maybe not.

One more thing: It's been a while and I think I need to partake of your company. Just sayin'...

We should talk.

I lost all of my contact info in my phone last month, including your txt msg that directs me to your door from my door. (Yes, oddly, relying on my nose to ascertain where the aroma of awesome cooking is coming from isn't quite as dependable as I would hope)

I was just thinking about you. I have a email I wanted to send you, and was wondering if the email address listed here would be okay for NSFW material..

Big hugs.

I try and post as much as possible on LJ, but I also noticed a dwindle of information. Many have even moved over to FaceBook. I had Twitter, but the incessant banal, inconsequential and trivial posts drove me batty. I finally turned it off permanently. I post small news things on FaceBook, but I share my life and heart here. It's the only place I can truly lock down things I need to share only with those I want to share them with. I wish others would do the same and I miss those that used to and no longer do. Even so, LJ will remain my "dear diary" forum to offload my head noise.
