Suddenly everyone in my flat is talking about who they are going to share a house with next year. Here's a chance for people in second year Uni to tell me how they picked their housemates. ( Future and girls )
I was pretty lucky. My house fell into my lap when my best friend invited me to live with him and two other people from his corridor in halls.
A lot of people had it much harder, with much bitching and falling out. I think the problem was that people started planning who they were going to live with in the first term, before they really knew who their friends were and who they could depend on. So subsequently there were all the drop-outs and unpleasant vetoes of certain people and so forth. There's not really a lot that can be done about this; if you have a really nice group of friends who are the right number of people for a house, then you're in a teeny tiny minority of first-year students.
sehr gut on posting again. hope you can sort things out. I know how awful and confusing feeling for two people is, and it certainly isn't fun. :( *hugs*
