I decided that since I like Fallout 3 so much I thought I'd give Oblivion a try. I'm abit overwhelmed with options though, and I was hoping someone listening out there might be able to give me a few beginner's pointers for the game.
I.. have no real memory of much of the game. I mostly futzed around with it and enjoyed leveling my character without even going into the main plot once I was out of the dungeon.
I made several chars, but only one really got much play. And got vampirized, and was an assassin/thief, and spent most of my time dungeon crawling in ruins and caves, picking every plant I could find to see what new poisons I could make, and uh.. breaking into houses and stealing stuff to sell to shopkeepers who weren't very choosy.
Oh, you DO want to make the mage guild like you/let you join, so that you can make enchanted weapons and armor.
