i'm in the exact same boat as you, destination: nowhere.

pressure is never a good thing. but you'll be doing it for yourself, in addition to appeasing the parental unit.

i think your ESL experience will be fantastic, but don't go thinking that you'll have life changing revelations! they have to happen themselves.

i totally agree with how you feel about the parental pressure. just take it one step at a time. and teaching ESL in japan sounds amazing! that´s definately one of my goals. and with the whole, feeling useless with an undergrad degree...i agree with you too.
