If you know they are gonna get trashed, I would go. Definitely to be the DD. Its cool that drunk driving doesn't fly with you... its definitely not a cool thing at all. And if they are going to be drinking, this is definitely the weekend to be having a DD. There are mad cops everywhere, and usually NH State Troopers set up a few Sobriety Checkpoints on the interstates.

that probably made me sound like a real bitch. but, i am always the DD and i'm sick of them doing this. they know i won't let them drive drunk etc. i dont want any of them to ever get hurt, but i'm sick of always having to be the mother of the group.

Then I think you should stand up for yourself, and if you don't wanna go, don't. Tell them they need to find another DD for the weekend. You have your fun, they can have theirs, and hopefully they are smart enough to be responsible.

You have a good heart :) But I agree, you shouldn't be taken advantage of.
