Tell me something I don't know...

Deborah is jumping around squealing like a five year old on Christmas day because she got all A's in her incredibly difficult first semester in grad school.

I'm making fun of her because that's like being excited that the sun came up in the morning.  It's amusing.

Yeah. A's are the expected grade in grad school. If you get a B, that's worrisome. I certainly didn't initiate such amazing theories as to make anybody say "Foucault who?" this semester, but I will be very pissed if I didn't get A's in both my non S/U classes.

Well, it doesn't surprise me because of the phenomenal work ethic Deborah had this semester along with her natural brilliance on the subject. She picked the worst possible three classes to take together at the same time and I'm sure any other first year grad student would've been fine with a B slipped in there. Deborah made the semester her bitch from early on, I just couldn't convince her she'd done so till the facts were right in front of her face.
