A similar thing happened to me not once but twice! I was never informed about changes made in the schedule until I drove all the way from Everett to Kent and walked into an empty warehouse. There is this wierd sort of elated irritation at having the night off when you expected to work. Inevitably, it feels better than a normal night off, but you still kind of wish you would have known about it ahead of time!
