Well, I wouldn't go so far as to call most of the books on this list "classics". The bulk of the ones on my list are sci-fi crap* I read as a teenager.

*crap in the pejorative, yet endearing sense. I mean, I'm glad I read them at the time, but wouldn't go out of my way to do so now.

What do you think of The Bell Jar? I just finally read that over Christmas and I was kinda disappointed. I think I prefer her poetry....
