I was called in to both of my jobs today, which was unfortunate, as I had big plans involving lazing around the house and perhaps doing some dishes. the more i look at it, the less it weirds me out and the happier it makes me.
PS-- if you want his most gruesome stuff, go early (Closer or Frisk); if you want what I contend are his more emotional works go middle (Try or Guide); if you want to escape the George Miles cycle entirely and try his stand-alone work then go either God Jr or My Loose Thread; don't bother with either Period or The Sluts because they're more dependent on the indulgence of a longtime reader. Also, I enjoyed the short stories in Wrong and some of the journalism in All Ears, but you wont find those without spending more time searching than you're going to, so dont worry about it.
