I've been spending the evening thinking about what would happen if someone who had once been close to me died. Who I would travel the country to see one last time, even if they were cold and waxy. Who I would spend a weekend with to catch up on the last fifteen years. I guess my life is too varied for that kind of thinking ( Read more... )

there you are. or here you are, rather.
i've been thinking about you a lot lately.

today, on the telephone (because, apparently close proximity is so out this season), friedel and i were discussing the possibility of all of having children and raising them together one day. (i'm not sure if we'll be making them together, per se. i suppose we can all work that out later.) but there was much excitement over the prospect of a baby benny.

does that weird you out? i hope not.

Of course it doesn't weird me out. I just assumed that, if there were going to be kids in my life, they'd be a sort of collective experience.

flew across the country for an ex-best friend's funeral.

worst weekend of my life.

yows. I miss you too, and this ny trip i was thinking about is getting more and more hectic and impossible. we'll see, however.
