July 15th...in more detail

Jul 28, 2006 20:23

Okay so this is what I remember of the day July 15, 2006. It started as a normal Saturday. I had a plan that day. I was to finish installing the ceiling fan then off to Lowes to return extra parts and pick up new flush valve for the toilet in the master bedroom. Then I planned on doing some work. I had a presentation to prepare for on Monday ( Read more... )

My eyes are wet... even though you've told me some of it, but still, I can't help it.

The ironic part you miised is you were keep saying "what a advanture!" that day in the trauma room... sign...shake head...and sign...

Still think maybe you could remember a little more detail. This could be a story that worth telling your grand children.

I forgot about the adventure part. I'm sure it was not an adventure for you...sorry :(. I do want to remember the story and the images that went with it. I hope this entry helps jog my memory when the images in my head start to dim.

Thank you again for being such a big help to me through all of this. :)

"What an adventure"??? (from jinlin's comment)....Chris, Chris, Chris. I don't think I would have been that brave to have been going through all of that and be claiming it an adventure. (Now wait...had they given any major drugs by this point? If so...maybe I can understand why you were so so..so...(not sure what word to type here)...blase? about it in the trauma room.
Again..I am seriously glad it wasn't worse than it was..(although this certainly sucks plenty!).
I liked how you told the story...taking us through it just how it was happening for you.
{{get better hugs}} for you...and send jinlin {{supportive hugs}}.
If there is anything Jack or I can do...PLEASE let us know.

I may have been drugged, not sure...but I did have all sorts of new experiences, how could it not be an adventure :)
  • First time to drop/crash my bike (probably my last too, but that is a different story)
  • First time to break a bone
  • First time in an ambulance
  • First time in a helicopter (I was hoping heliskiing would be my first time in a helicopter)
  • First time I even had an IV

Plus I have a curse on me where I always look for the positives in any situation.

Thank you for your support and concern!!!
