hi there. sometimes i do this thing where i click myself into a rabbit hole on livejournal profiles and then if i see someone has updated in recent-ish years, i like to tell them to come join all of us ex-LJ-ers over on Dreamwidth!

i know you might not update a ton or whatever... but there's just something about keeping an online journal that really fills a hole that other social medias don't quite touch.

sometimes it's nice to scream to the void.

i have found, though, that starting fresh over there has given me a lot of the joy that the old LJ days gave... except we are all a bit older now, and i don't know... it feels... safe. it feels right.

oh my gosh. sometimes it blows my mind when i learn my DW friends' old LJ names because sometimes it turns out we knew each other all along, or they have a name i recognize from the old days, etc.
