I have given much though to this and first i thought to post it in our SPOD community but thought the better of it. I figured that wasn't the approprate place for this as it isn't exclusive to SPEW, but if others feel that it would be a good idea then I will gladly move it ( Read more... )

Yes here, i just want us able to communicate and let each other know the strengths and weakness of spew with out feeling like someone will hold it against us. Of course this doesn't mean we can be rude, but just be honest in a tactful way. If the majority feels that SPOD is the best place to do this in then it shall be gladly changed, I just don't think its the healthiest thing to present the issues that came up on forum just didn't happen.

I think this is a wonderful idea. If it works out I'll be thrilled. :)

I would like to preface all of what follows by saying that I think SPEW is an absolutely outstanding group. There are a lot of uniquely talented people / writers from a wide variety of backgrounds, age ranges, and countries. It gives members a chance get a broad perspective on not only issues related to Harry Potter and MNFF, but life in general. It’s a place that I know for fact has been the springboard leading into the very special friendships extending beyond the world of fan fiction. I truly believe that any member of SPEW has the opportunity to gain a lot by actively participating ( ... )

I feel as if SPEW started out as a very strong group that worked very hard to earn the recognition that they now receive. However, I think the quality of posting and reviewing has decreased considerably. In fact, if I take a walk through the forums, almost no one bothers to post anymore. To be honest, it seems like SPEW is simply riding on the back of an image already created, and already disintegrating. No one exerts the efforts they used to. I hear that people care about our purpose, but they're just words if we're to judge by the work they put out there ( ... )

I think that, so far as the cencership mentioned, it's neccessary on the forums. Too many people feel too free to air there what should be kept more private. The forums are not for people to be snarky on, but for focusing on our work.

There's a lot of gossip spreading too. So that has to stop.

Also, I like that we're not chatting with mods much anymore. That's the way it should be. There's no reason for spewers to be more 'in' with the mods than other athors. It's not something that we are entitled to, but a privelege that's been overly abused, to where some people think they should have rights over others.
