Glad to see that I'm not the only one who's still working with good old pencils and paper ^^

it is more than a little discouraging to be working with pencils and paper when everyone else is either using photoshop or water colours. glad to know that you're using pencils and paper as well! xDDD

well recently i've become hopelessly obsessed with fur and lace and bold colours and prints and chinese-y things, so i threw everything into this out of self-indulgence. *well my favourite part is the peony on ryoma's arm, but that's just me x3*
glad to hear that your cousin approves as well! LOL!

I really don't know what to say, except that. It's so beautiful that it's hard to say anything else. I love the fact that you pencils, because it is so rare to see that when people mostly seem to post digital art. You are a master at those pencils!

thank you! glad you like! x3 your comment really made my day, and fueled my ego excessively xDDD but it's true that it's a little discouraging how people tend to ignore pencil works nowadays... *oops i sound so old don't i?* i admit that digital work is much more polished and 'perfect'--in a way-- but traditional medium still appeals to me because of the spontaneity involved.
would you like to drop a request? :)

Uhm, that's why I'm replying so late... I'm bad at giving requests ^^U
But I've been thinking a little... And I'd like to see Fuji and Yukimura in traditional Japanese garb... maybe sharing tea or something...
I agree with you about digital work, but to me sometimes it gets a bit impersonal... I like to see brush strokes and pencil strokes and so on. Even if you can add these effects in photoshop, it's not the same.
The only thing I like about digital media is that if you screw up, it's easy to redo it. Not so easy when you're working with traditional media...

And I agree that CGI can get pretty impersonal. My friend prefers her CGIs to her traditional drawings cos she thinks that CGIs are more perfect and flawless, but I find that her traditional works have more life and soul than her CGIs. I guess I like the human touch in traditional works. *__* But of course screwing up when using traditional media is DISASTROUS. LOL. I used to colour in my original linearts... and well, let's just say that erasers aren't very discerning when it comes to the differences between colouring and line work. Haha.
p.s. I just read Niou's List and I had a great laugh over it! xDDD Double thumbs-up!
