Renter's insurance, at least in our state, is pretty awesome. I remember them saying that it covered accidentally injuring someone. It's this weird catch-all that you wouldn't expect. Homeowner's is much more limited. I still find it unconscionable that people in flood plains cannot get flood insurance, etc.
