You should do whatever the heck you want! :-D Forgive me for asking, but do you already have a bachelor's degree? I actually have 2 reasons for asking:
1.) If not, you're looking at (at least) a 6 year commitment, and that's a heck of a long time to stick with anything. I'm an example of someone who put in 4 and a half years thinking I'd end up in one profession (teaching), only to find that the job market was cut-throat competitive and the pay absolutely sucked. I hung in there for a year, but then took a hard left turn. Now I do marketing for a Real Estate company. Go Figure hehehe. My point though is that I COULD have stuck it out and just stayed in college and gotten my M.S. Ed., but that would have only delayed the inevitable for another 2 years and would have actually made me considerably less hire-able, because the Masters Degree would have put me in a higher salary bracket. Plus, I don't even want to think about how much "wasted" time an unused Master's Degree represents

Yeah, I have a bachelor's in English/creative writing...or rather I am about to have one, as soon as they post grades/mail me my degree in a week. I've always wanted to go to grad school, and i've looked at programs in children's literature. . . I also plan to talk to some librarians. The biggest thing here is, in my current job search, I know I will be miserable after more than a few years in a regular office job. And you know, I refuse to be miserable just to make a little more money. I've been looking at MLS degree programs at Catholic University (I live just outside of DC) as well as a few distance programs from other schools. From what I understand, my mom is willing to help, but...I am definitely feeling the monitary scariness. haha
