Uggs

Uggs. So appropriately named. These shoes are probably some of the ugliest things i've ever seen. I don't know who thought they were a good idea stylistically. Yes, they are warm, I will give you that. Even comfortable. But incredibly ugly. There is no reason for you to tuck your jeans in to them. And if you are so cold you have to wear uggs, why ( Read more... )

uggs really are the ugliest shoes ever!!! I totally don't get it either, but at least girls here are wearing the proper cold weather attire with their uggs (it's definitely too cold at times not to). But ew, or should I say ugg.

Haha--I bought a pair of Uggs this year, like a month ago maybe. I ALWAYS hated them, and I seriously think I got desensitized.

Anyway, I wear them bc I walk to and from work. When it's warm, I wear flipflops. It was too cold for flipflops and I think sneakers with a suit looks incredibly 80's tacky, so I caved. Mike haaaates them and mocks me for wearing them, but my god. I drank the Kool Aid and it is good. They're like little foot comforters.

I am shocked this is still a trend, too. I thought for sure it'd be a one season thing and then we'd all look back on it with disgust. Tons of people I know still wear them too!! Some even wear them to WORK! Apparently they are really comfortable...I dunno. I think they're hideous! And you've gotta have stick thin legs to pull off wearing shoes that heavy.

Have you seen them with the miniskirts and leggings or fishnets yet? Thats my absolute favorite. Especially when its 90 degrees. I think its the UConn uniform, with the other option being a UConn sweatshirt and heels. But I do have to admit I have a pair of fuzzy boots and they are amazingly comfy, and every time I see someone wearing Uggs I just imagine that they feel as great as my boots do.
