[Franziska's been watching her little brother from a distance, quietly contemplating before she makes her approach. Silently, she curses herself for not thinking of something to say before doing so, but walking up to him and not saying anything at all is worse than dreaded small talk, so:]

Ah, good evening, Miles Edgeworth. How are you?

[mentis_reae]

[Edgeworth has been lost in brooding thought when she approaches, and so the sound of her voice is something of a surprise; his gaze snaps upward, and he lifts his chin and blinks.]

Ah - Franziska. [A short nod that serves as a non-answer to her question.] Yourself?

[dancing_pierrot]

[She's not actually certain how to interpret that little nod of his, but for now she decides to simply raise an eyebrow and answer his question, although her gaze becomes even more scrutinizing.]

I'm as fine as can be expected.

[mentis_reae]

[He looks over and nods again.]

That could be worse.

[dancing_pierrot]

Indeed. I'm just not very fond of this time of year.

[a pause, and then an attempt to justify it:]

Not cold enough.

[mentis_reae]

A bit too cold for me.

[dancing_pierrot]

It's hardly cold at all! [A slight snort.] Are you dressing appropriately for the weather?

[mentis_reae]

Of course I am. I'm merely saying that I would prefer warmer weather.

[dancing_pierrot]

You know what, I don't think you are. Someone ought to take you shopping.

[...]

I'll do it myself.

[mentis_reae]

Er.

[How did this suddenly turn into...?]

You'll buy things for me, or you'll take me shopping?

[dancing_pierrot]

The latter, obviously. Unless you need someone to control your finances as well.

Of course not. My finances are well-managed. I balanced my checkbook just yesterday.

[dancing_pierrot]

So you agree to the shopping, then?

[mentis_reae]

It is...not necessary, but - yes, I do.
