Warnings: Language, bad humor, caffeine, Jinx, Batman...
As time went on, Jinx was beginning to realize what a different person she was becoming. When she was younger, she didn't eat, she didn't sleep, and she could run on fumes for days. The last time she pulled something like that was a few months ago and she was sicker than a dog for an entire week. Not fun. So, like the responsible adult she was pretending to be, Jinx at least tried to get some sleep. Which was difficult. Due to Lucifer's recent arrival, her boyfriend was in full on panic mode. Waking up at five in the morning felt like the worst thing she had ever been forced to do in her entire life. Not true, but she was a little bit of a drama queen when in the moment.
So she threw her hair in pigtails, attempted to cover up the bruise on her face with concealer, failed, just put on sunglasses, then left for the slums. Sector 10? Not her idea of a good time. The only reason she ever came near it was because Gabriel nested himself in a warehouse in Sector 9. They were disgusting, trashy, and everyone asked her for money. Sure, she knew why Batman wanted her to meet him here, but she still hated it. At least at this hour, there wasn't a whole lot of activity. It was barely after sirens. No one wanted to be up. No one. This was her second cup of coffee and she still wasn't fully awake.
She parked her bike outside of the slums because she liked it. Then she wandered out onto those horribly dirty streets. Her platform heels were surprisingly silent on the sidewalk. One hand held her drink, while her braced one held the coffee she had picked up for that jerk Batman. Either she was really considerate, or she just liked giving Roxas' coffee house business. More the latter.
Quickly growing tired of wandering around the streets, she took to leaning against a wall and just waited, sipping at her caffeine. There was a very unimpressed look on her face. Jinx wasn't into this. At all. Really, she should have been thrilled that she was getting to train with Batman, but she didn't want to do it out of necessity. She was still injured. Her wrist and hand were braced, healing from fractures. Underneath her jacket and dress, her body was coated with fading bruises and cuts. There was still that awful wound on her side healing from when she had been shot. Not to mention her tattoo was itchy. Fuck her entire life.
