And as the slam gets started, it seems that it will. Roxas is happy to stay behind the counter and make people's drinks, but he keeps an eye on the stage and the crowd, too, ready to jump in and help if he's needed for something.]

[He's got a half smile, awkward as the atmosphere has suddenly become. But he's sticking it out, just like he told Ven he would.]
Hey.
Reply
Hey.
[So what next?]
...you want something to drink?
Reply
[Hmmm... He's not really into coffee, but...]
Got any recommendations?
First time here.
[But Roxas already knew that.]
Reply
A caramel machiatto, maybe. It's more of a dessert drink. Or a cappuccino.
[Sora seems like he'd enjoy the sugar stuff.]

What about you? What kinda drinks do you like?
I mean, I heard you're not really into coffee.
Reply
Well...not like it's surprising that he'd be asking questions. And he doesn't really mind.]
No, I do. I didn't when I first started working here, though. I didn't know anything about it.
I like regular coffee, but I don't know if you'd want to try it. Some people think it's kind of harsh. [Ven would never appreciate it properly.]
Reply
Maybe I oughta give it a shot anyway.
Reply
Sure. If you want to.

I'll have one regular coffee, please!
[There's probably a bunch of different flavors and blends, even if it's just regular old coffee, but he'll go blind on this one and let Roxas pick.]

[Normally he's at ease when working the counter-he doesn't mind serving customers. But he wonders if it's just his imagination or if there is an extra undercurrent of awkwardness in this particular transaction.
Then again, when isn't it awkward between him and Sora? So he makes the drink, going for a blend that isn't too bold, just in case.]
Here.

[Another glance behind. No customers still. Hmm.]
You holding up okay over there?
Reply
It's fine. Things have settled down since the reading started. It's worse in the mornings.
Reply
Morning rush, huh?
[Not monsters from the dark. Not heartless. Just zombies people getting their morning coffee before work.]
Staff's handling the crowd pretty well too.
Reply
That's when it's busiest.
[He scans the other customers and staff, making sure Hope's got everything handled on his end, too. But there's nothing else he needs to be doing right now. He's not sure whether that's disappointing or not.]
They always do a good job. Most people will, if you give them a chance.
Reply
It helps. If they've got somebody worth proving themselves to.
[Things are still awkward... but they're working through it! You know, maybe he can do this.]
