[Everything feels so strange, tense, like the calm before a storm. Xion can feel it, she's worried for her friends and she's worried for everyone else.

She wants to get stronger; she knows that Roxas and Joe have been training hard, and she doesn't want to be a burden to them. She wants to help Ven and Aqua get Terra back. She wants to be as strong as she knows Sora is- after all, if she's his copy, why shouldn't she be?

It's daunting though. The last time she fought anyone...

She puts that thought from her mind as she makes her way out to the woods to train.]

Hey Ven.

[She drew closer, noticing that he was flushed and breathing heavily. He was sitting on a log, so she sat beside him, returning his smile with one of her own.]

Have you been out here long?

[He looked tired, not just from exercise.]

I want to. It would be better than waiting for something to happen, and I want to get stronger the right way. I want to help everyone.

[She holds out her hand, waiting for a moment before she calls up her Keyblade.]

I'm going to help.

Sure, if you want to.

[She gets to her feet, shifting her grip on the Kingdom Key as she does. It's funny; this is the first time she will have sparred against another Keyblade.

She doesn't like to think about the last time she fought against one. It's why she hasn't asked Roxas to train with her.]

I might not be very good. I've never sparred with another wielder before.

[Xion exhales a quick breath, inhales deeply, then moves her other hand to the grip.]

Right.

[A pause, for a heartbeat, then she breaks into a run and makes a half-hearted strike for Ven's shoulder.]

[She reacts with the recoil, taking her weight on her back foot and springing forward again.]

I... I'll try harder.

[But when he's smiling like that? It makes it very hard to want to.]

[She puts more bite in her next strike, a mid-height horizontal arc towards his midsection.]

[It's a stretch- and an uncomfortable one at that because she has to twist to get the block in, but she manages it.

He's faster than she thought. She jumps back to regain some ground and regroup.]
