Yeah.

[Roxas allows Sora to stay on the offensive, dodging and deflecting instead of counterattacking. Even if it's not a real battle, they're both good enough that this imitation of one requires some concentration.]

[That's a blessing right now, because he wants to keep his expression steady, not give in to the confusing mix of thoughts he has when thinking of those memories. Glimpses of a boy in red, a life that was and was not his.]

[It's easier to speak in the pauses, in between strikes.]

Wonderland was a weird.

[It's also easier to talk now that he's directing the flow of it. A small blessing.]

Everybody spoke in riddles and stuff.

[Another pause- this time Sora stops altogether.]

But I kinda liked it.

[Then settles down into his stance and continues.]

It was okay.

[Dodge, duck, pivot.]

I liked Never Land better.

[Turn, and strike again.]

I liked flying.

[A leap back instead of a block or counter attack. Talking's easier when he's out of range of strikes.]

[Flying. Probably his favorite part of that too. You know. When they weren't chasing clocktower phantoms or his best friend.]

You met her too, huh?

[He shifts the rhythm of the spar to be a little more aggressive, but there's no heat behind it. He just can't let Sora take point forever.]

A few times.

[One, two, three strikes. He doesn't meet Sora's eyes.]

I think she thought I was you.

What makes you [There it is. The tide's turned somewhat. It's Roxas's turn to lay it on Sora. It's still not anything life threatening, but he has to keep his wits about him.] say that?

She acted like she knew me. Like she knew I'd believe her about flying.

[Like he'd done it before.]

It's hard to explain.

[He keeps moving now, because if he stops, he might start again, but this time it'll be to leave.]

I guess you had to be there.

[He remembers trying to convince Donald and Goofy to spend just a little extra time in both Neverland and London. Flying in a sea of lights, both overhead and down below.]

Nothing like it.

Yeah. Axel liked it too.

[Roxas' eyes go wide at his own words, out before he knew they were coming.

He tries not to talk about Axel. That way, it's easier to forget he isn't here.

Swallowing hard, he focuses on his next strike. Got to keep his head in this.]

[And the idea of Axel flying around with Tinkerbell hot on his heels just... gets him going. He doesn't even know Axel that well at all, but it just strikes him as funny. Before he knows it, he's laughed. Just once.]

[It takes a few more strikes before the smile fades in favor of concentrating.]

I wanna show Riku. One day.

[London. Big Ben. The rest of Neverland. Not just spend all his time there with Riku fighting over Kairi and the darkness.]

[A small smile passes over Roxas' face at the sound of the laugh, gone again quickly. Yeah. It had been pretty funny.]

You'll probably get the chance. Eventually.

[If the core ever frees people from this world. Not him; Roxas doesn't ever expect to go if he can help. But other people have places to go back to, and he doesn't begrudge them that. Not even Sora.]

Last time we were there, we were too busy fighting this Hook guy...

One of the pirates?

[He doesn't remember their names, if he ever caught them.]

[He strides in, bringing down his keyblade against Roxas', locking the three of them together.]

Yeah. Had a... metal hook thing for his hand.

And some funny little guy with glasses for a sidekick... Smee, I think.

I know them.

[His eyes narrow at the Keyblades. An obvious tactic is to call forth the light, but...it hasn't been that sort of spar, and he doesn't want to push it.

Instead, he uses his greater leverage against Sora, angling his blades to trap his opponent's and pushing to attempt to shove him off balance.]

Did they ever find any treasure?
